Assembly Instructions

  2. Place (1) 2 ½” x 10” Fabric B strip on top of the first strip, right sides together. Make sure the strip will cover the batting and adjust as needed. Sew along the right side of the strips. Press the Fabric B strip open as shown.
  3. Rotate the batting, Place (1) 2 ½” x 10” Fabric A on top of the Fabric C strip, right sides together and aligning the edge. Sew the strips together and press the Fabric A strip open.
  4. Continue to add strips to each side of the sewn strips to completely cover the piece of batting.

  5. Trim the excess fabric even with the edges of the batting piece to make the sleeve Front.

  6. To complete the sleeve, layer the sleeve front with the 7” x 11 ½” Fabric D strip, right sides together.
  7. Trace the 16oz sleeve template on the wrong side of the Fabric D piece.
  8. Cut the layered pieced out on the drawn lines.
  9. Fold each 5” piece of elastic cord in half.
  10. Position each folded cord, in between the layers, along the short straight edge, 1” from each corner. Clip the cords in place to the Sleeve Front.
  11. Fold the Fabric D strip back down over the cords and clip the layers together.
  12. Sew around the clipped layers, leaving a 3” opening at the bottom.
  13. Turn the sewn sleeve right side out.
  14. Tuck the edges of the opening in and press. Topstitch around the entire sleeve to finish the edges and to close the opening.
  15. Fold the sleeve in half and position the buttons in place to align them with the elastic cord loops.

TIP: Use the Elmers glue stick to hold the buttons in place.
