I'm Puck, surface pattern designer and illustrator living in the Netherlands, with my partner and 2 kids. I've always been passionate about drawing, painting, beautiful colours, fabrics and sewing. I learned how to sew from my mom when I was about 8 years old and loved her huge fabric collection.
Creating cute and joyful art just makes me really really happy and I love to share it with others.
Conceptualization for Best-Teas
"When I was asked to design the Best Teas collection, I immediately was
inspired by all the different flavors/ (pastel) colors and added pieces of fruit.
I wanted this collection to be supercute, happy and delicious.
So I started with drawing the cups in different colors and added some straws because it looks extra cute and colorful. Next I put little faces on the cups and decided to use all pastel colors.
Then I added some pieces of fruit and made different patterns with the cups.
To combine those quite busy patterns, I added a multicoloured stripe and a dot pattern in different colours."
Inspiration for Merry Penguins "Penguins, because they are just the cutest winter animals. When I think of winter, I think of cozy knitted sweaters, hats and scarves, ice skating (I love ice skating!) presents and hot cocoa.
I love the combo of red with aqua blue. Aqua shades because of the icey environment penguins live in. Red because it’s xmassy.
To combine it all to a collection I added a star coordinate, a tree coordinate and a "knitted pattern" coordinate."
